What Dads Can't Do Let's Try It Out with Towers and Bridges

Doug Cushman was born on May 4th in Springfield, Ohio, and grew up there and in Connecticut. He began cartooning in high school, selling lampoons of his teachers as superheroes to other students for a nickel. He has illustrated more than 80 books for children, including more than 14 he has written himself. Cushman studied at the Paier School of Art in Connecticut, where he enjoyed learning from many teachers, including Leonard Everett Fisher. He is the illustrator of Doug Wood’s What Dads (Moms) (Teachers) (Santa) Can’t Do books, as well as his own Aunt Eater I Can Read series, and Seymour Simon’s Let’s Try It Out series. He currently lives in Northern California, where he enjoys outdoor sports and cooking.
